Bernard ' s Bath

After reading the story, Bernard's Bath, the students wanted to make word cards for our word wall.  Before I could even hang up the words they were writing them and retelling the story in different ways.

Bernard didn't want a bath so his parents put pink syrup to make bubbles.
"Look, I wrote 'pink syrup'!"

"I'm colouring the splashes when the mama, papa and grandma get in the tub."

"I want to make splashes too!"

"The red page is for you to hang and this green one is for me to take home."

"I want to make the word bath.  Look, I did all of the letters!"

"I want to make an elephant trunk.  Will you help me?"

"I am giving Bernard a bath...B is for Bernard."
