The Elf on the Shelf Has Arrived in our Classroom!
One morning, we were so surprised to find an elf swimming in our empty fish bowl. He left a message for us, "I love to swim!" We are obsessed with speech bubbles so we were so excited. We are also loving exclamation marks so we were doubly thrilled to see an elf who likes to use exclamation marks too!!!!
After reading the story about the Elf on the Shelf, we
decided we needed to give our elf a name.
There were many ideas...
After a vote we named our elf, 'Buddy'.
We made some predictions about where we thought the elf would
be the next morning.
Sometimes our predictions are correct...
Every morning the children are so excited to see where Buddy is
hiding and what sort of silliness he is up to.
Children have brought in notes that their elves at home have sent them.
We continue to make predictions and check them in the morning.
