Water Day Fun!

The children had a wonderful water day.  

They were soaking wet and exhausted by the end of the day.

Grade One, Here We Come!!!!

Well, the last day has finally arrived.  This day is always exciting and busy.  The SK's are ready to move onto grade one and our JK's are prepared to be the leaders of kindergarten in SK!

To help our SK's prepare for Grade 1, we tried to see how it would feel to be in grade one.

We lined up in the grade one line outside.

We tested out the grade one bathrooms.
"Cool sink!"
"How does it work?"
"You need to push with your foot."

We discovered the fountain is just like ours!


And we explored the Grade One rooms...

"Look there are 100 beads...10, 20, 30...100.  There are 10 of each colour!"
Totally prepared for grade one math!!!!

"There's a calculator!"

"There's even a prize box in grade one!"

"Grade ones have their own balls to take outside."

"They are growing plants like we did."

"Awesome!"

"Hey look...there's a special helper chair!"

"We can still play school."

"What!!! There's computers in here!"

We can still be silly in grade one...

...definitely room for silly!

"Grade one smells like marshmallows!"
"Maybe it's just the box that smells so good."

"There's a bird in the tree!"

"Robert Munsch is in grade one."

"I can still write in grade one."
